“To have a happy and healthy Christmas for our body, we must maintain a varied and balanced diet that includes all the food groups that are consumed correctly and avoid mishaps, taking into account these indications”, recommends Dr. Torres Orellano and gives us the following tips:

– Eat fruits and vegetables every day. The doctor recommends “low glycemic index fruits like green apple, green pear, strawberries, kiwi, peach. Preferably, consume them in a chewy form, vegetables of all colors, a high variety every day”.

– Guarantees protein intake: meat, fish, pork, egg, chicken, grains or legumes, as they help regenerate tissues and maintain muscle mass.

– Include fiber-rich carbohydrates on your plate: brown rice, lentils, beans, chickpeas, yams, squash. “I focus on these because they have more fiber and help us regulate our intestinal transit,” explains the expert.

– Food preparation: recommended, grilled, steamed, oven, are excellent options that should not be left aside during Christmas.

– We must not abuse the portions and portions of prepared foods.

– Drink plenty of water, at least 10 glasses a day.

– Eat less salty foods.

– Eat less sweets and preparation sauces.

– Make sure you exercise at least 60 minutes a day.
