Make the right choices at the restaurant : avoid dishes with names accompanied by the adjectives “pan-fried, crunchy, coated, donut, au gratin, marinated, marinade, smoked, breaded, in brine, in juice, in teriyaki, in broth”. These dishes contain a lot of fat, sugar and salt. On the other hand, names with the expressions “grilled, steamed, poached, on the grill and baked” are to be preferred.

Resuming your usual routine when you return from vacation : If you’ve gained a few pounds following your weeks vacation, don’t panic! Part of this weight is often water because with the heat the retention is increased.
