I’m sweating because of the heating… If you use deodorant in winter

Using deodorant on skin that has become sensitive due to hair removal may cause stinging or itchiness./Photo = Clip Art Korea Many people use deodorant even in winter. This is because when you turn on the heater and stay in a warm room, you sweat all over your body. However, deodorant can be toxic to the skin if used incorrectly.

Deodorant should be applied without any moisture remaining on the skin. Do not use it when you are already sweating or have just showered and still have moisture remaining. If you apply deodorant while there is moisture, hydrochloric acid may be produced and irritate the skin. It is best not to apply deodorant immediately following hair removal. Hair removal involves applying physical and chemical stimulation to the skin. If you use deodorant when your skin is irritated, it may cause a rash or itchiness. Frequent scratching due to allergy symptoms can cause wounds and inflammation, and if this is repeated, the skin color around the inflammation may change.

When using deodorant, do not use excessive amounts and follow the recommended frequency. This is because some deodorants contain trace amounts of environmental hormones such as triclosan. The recommended number of uses is calculated considering the extent to which the substance does not cause harm to the human body. This means that using more than this can have negative effects on the human body, so it is best to stick to the number of uses indicated in the product manual. Also, ‘aluminum chlorohydrate’, which is contained in most deodorants, can cause inflammation or kidney disease if used frequently, so it should be used only when necessary.

If you used deodorant, you should wash the area where you applied the product following returning home. If you do not properly wipe off the aluminum chlorohydrate ingredient in deodorant, sweat secretion cells may atrophy, causing problems with sweat secretion. After returning home, shower, thoroughly wash off the deodorant, and dry the washed area completely.
