Wear appropriate clothing that covers all parts of the body completely. Wear a head hat to protect from direct sunlight. Apply sunscreen and renew it at least every 20 minutes. Reducing the intensity of exercise and focusing on body reactions and symptoms that may appear during exercise. Monitor the humidity of the air, because moisture prevents the evaporation of sweat secreted by the body, which means that it accumulates on the surface of the skin and thus contributes to limiting the body’s ability to cool itself.

Dr. Al-Gharairi advised those interested in exercising in open spaces during the summer to choose times when the temperatures are moderate and suitable for physical activity, as it is advisable to exercise in the morning (between 7 and 9 am) or in the evening (from 7 to 10 pm).
He added that the hottest hours during the day are usually between 12 and 16 o’clock, which are the times that pose a danger to sports practitioners due to the high temperatures and the strength of the sun’s rays.
