Why come: The biggest summer festival in Vysočín starts already on Thursday, the gates open at four o’clock in the followingnoon, just like on Friday. Then on Saturday at three in the followingnoon. Among the main attractions of the three-day festival are the band Kapát, Wanastowi Vjecy, Anna K., Tomáš Klus, Pokáč and others. People can look forward to a proper multi-genre selection, rich refreshments and entertainment.

Meeting of retro strollers
When: Friday, July 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 11:45 p.m
Where: Polná, castle
For how much: free admission
Why come: The third annual meeting historical and retro strollers in Polná takes place on Friday, July 5. The meeting is at one o’clock at the castle in Polná, at two o’clock the mayor will welcome the participants and then the procession will pass through Husový náměstí. At three o’clock there will be period tours, demonstration and sale of Reborn dolls and additional sales. Entertainment for children will be provided by Kašpar Polná. At 7:30 there will be country music in the Měšťanský pivovar. Free parking at the castle and refreshments provided. If you have an old stroller, you can join the parade and reminisce regarding the old days.
Theater tours in Roštejn
When: Friday 5th July to Sunday 7th July
Where: Den, Roštejn Castle
How much: entrance fee 250/150 crowns
Why come: With a golden rose in the coat of arms. That’s their name Theater tours of Roštejn Castle, which will take visitors to the middle of the 14th century, i.e. to the time when Roštejn Castle was founded by the family of lords from Hradec. Tours start every half hour, always from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is a lunch break only at 12.00 and 12.30. It is possible to reserve the entrance fee by calling 733 161 817 from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or at the castle box office. Theater tours of the castle won the Golden Rowan, the Vysočina Region’s award for the best cultural activity in 2017 and 2021.

Wood cutting in Třešť
When: Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6, always from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Where: Třešť, JA Schumpeter’s garden
How much: admission is voluntary
Why come: Traditional Třešťské Wood cutting in Třešt takes place in the garden of JA Schumpeter’s house in Třešt, it will be the twenty-second annual meeting of carvers from the whole Czech Republic and the surrounding area. Carving of figures is on both days from nine to five in the evening. On Friday, the band Druhej Dech from Luk nad Jihlavou will play from one o’clock. VM Band Třešť plays on Saturday from one o’clock. A permanent exhibition of Nativity scenes is open on both days, and those interested can try their hand at carving figurines.
PILGRIM’S COUNTY
District meeting of fire brigades
When: Saturday, July 6 from 1 p.m
Where: Pišt, local playground
For how much: free admission
Why come: The meeting of the fire brigades of the Pelhřimov district takes place on the playground in Píšt in Pelhřimov region. About forty corps with their battalions promised to participate. This is the first year of the event. The program begins at half past two with a ceremonial parade of banners from the fire station to the playground. From two, the choirs will introduce themselves and the new banner of the Píšť village will be blessed. Then there will be a presentation of ribbons. Zručská desítka will play, there will be demonstrations of the HZS, demonstrations of the work of cynologists, an exhibition of firefighting equipment, stands of companies with firefighting equipment and a program for children.
Medieval festivities at Orlík
When: from July 5 from 10:00 to July 6 until 18:00
Where: Humpolec, Orlík Castle
How much: entrance fee 120/60 crowns, family 280 crowns
Why come: During the holidays, a medieval bagging event will be held at Orlík nad Humpolcem Castle. During these two days, people will be able to watch swordsmanship, theater arts, musical performances and much more. The festivities will also include a fair, where interested parties will be able to choose from a large assortment. From merchandise to food and drink. Games and tricks prepared for children. During the event, the lookout tower is closed for security reasons.

Trčko’s ghost

Why come: On the long weekend, there are role-playing tours in Želiv, which will introduce you to Burian Trčků from Lípa, who is condemned to make amends for his deeds and be able to go to the hall of his ancestors. Why come: The festive days at Huti Jakub Tasice will bring a demonstration of glass production. People will be able to take a guided tour of the glassworks. Vepříkovské 3v1

Summer cinema under the stars

TREBÍČSKO
Pilgrimage of St. Prokop

Why come: The St. Prokop Pilgrimage in Třebíč will offer tours of the dwarf gallery during the weekend and also costumed tours on Saturday, July 6. A celebration of sport

Why come: The anniversary of the city of Hrotovice and TJ Sokol Hrotovice will be celebrated with sports. Summer games with animals

Why come: Two days full of fun and competitions for children and adults have been prepared in Šikland Park in Zvola nad Pernštejnem. The program includes a parade of cute animals, competitions for prizes, animation programs as well as an action theater and western show. Friday night will include country music and Saturday night a fire show. There will also be a disco for children. For both days, fairy-tale mascots and lots of animals. There will also be a mega python on Saturday.
