Finding powerful loot is one of the most important things in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Stupid only when it’s so powerful that nobody can do anything with it.
Just like the main Borderlands franchise, a key part of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is the myriad of weapons you can bag throughout the game.
Accordingly, one is always on the hunt for powerful, effect-packed and best of all legendary weapons that can melt away enemy bosses in seconds. But they also have to be at a high level – so that they can still keep up in the endgame.
For the characters you look at can create in Wonderlandsthe current level cap is 40. This means that you can only use weapons that are at most level 40.
Unfavorable, therefore, if you suddenly find weapons that are above this limit. But that is exactly the case.
Players find weapons above level cap: “I want to cry”
That’s the problem: In the Wonderlands subreddit, players are currently sharing items whose level is already beyond 40. For example, user “MrCheedaCheese” found a cool sign called “Maced Wardu of Healing” with the text “He’s too dangerous to be left alive”.
Star Wars fans will have recognized the reference to Mace Windu directly.
The bitter thing, however, is that the shield dropped at level 41. It’s not equippable: “Isn’t the cap 40? I feel cheated. I want to cry,” MrChedaCheese wrote in the post.
However, this item is currently not an isolated case. Another user shows a powerful SMG at level 43 (via reddit), while another grabbed a level 41 shotgun (via reddit).
Logically, the weapons cannot be used here either.
What’s going on there? So far there are no official developer statements on the subject of whether this is an error and whether a fix is in the works. It is therefore possible that the weapons will not remain usable for the time being.
However, level increases have always been included in past Borderlands titles, for example as part of a DLC or via an update. It is possible that this will also be the case this time and that, for example, a level increase will take place during the period of the first Season Pass drop.
At least you might then use the weapons that have now been found. Of course, it would be better if you only found weapons within the current level limit – then you wouldn’t have to be annoyed that you just found a powerful weapon. As soon as there is news here, we will keep you up to date.
