At the same time that he “virtualized” flirting, the Tinder (and many other apps like it) ended up leaving aside a component that often has a certain importance in building romantic relationships: the opinions of friends and family. Let’s face it, you may not like the idea of having someone give you a hint regarding your relationships, but for other people, this “approval” from third parties ends up being essential.
It is with this in mind that Tinder is launching the Matchmaker , a feature that, in a way, will “make official” the famous sneak peek on someone else’s Tinder — and from anywhere. With the new functionality, friends and family will be able to access the app asynchronously to recommend profiles to a user — basically bringing the “friendship test” into the dating app.
To evaluate someone’s suitors, the family member/friend will not even need to have an active profile on Tinder. Users interested in other people’s feedback will only have to share an exclusive link with up to 15 people within a 24-hour period. Once this is done, the third party simply needs to log in to Tinder or continue as a Alex Reed so that they are ready to play their role as cupid.
Obviously, friends/family members who evaluate profiles will not be able to send messages on behalf of the user who invited them, who will be able to review in detail each evaluation given by their peers 24 hours following the start of a Matchmaker. They still have the final decision on who to like or not, but with the difference that now they can count on a little extra strength to make their choices.
If you’re eager to use the new feature, we have good news: it’s now available to users Brazilians with the latest version of the dating software installed. Tinder Matchmaker has also been launched in the following countries: Germany, Australia, Canada, South Korea, Spain, United States, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom, Thailand and Vietnam.
