JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Senior actress Christine Hakim confirmed to be involved in a Hollywood series The Last of Us which airs on HBO.
However, Christine may not be the only Indonesian who will be in the series.
This was conveyed by a seasoned director Timo Tjahjanto via Twitter account.

“And she (Christine Hakim) is not the only Indo innit,” wrote Timo quoted from the account @Timobros, Tuesday (20/12/2022).
Timo’s upload was bombarded by comments from netizens. Many suspect that Joe Taslim is also involved in the series The Last of Us.
The reason is, Joe Taslim’s Instagram account has been followed by Neil Druckmann, director and writer The Last of Us.

Christine Hakim’s involvement was initially announced by the Twitter account @NaughtyDogInfo as the developer of the series.
The account shares footage of Christine Hakim acting as a scientist or researcher.
In the trailer, Christine Hakim can be seen holding a mushroom in a laboratory.

“We see the scientist, played by Indonesian actress Christine Hakim holding a mushroom,” wrote the account.
The Last of Us tells regarding a fungal infection called Cordyceps or often referred to as Cordyceps Brain Infection (CBI).
This fungus makes those who are infected behave more aggressively, mutate, until finally their heads no longer resemble humans.
