Timo Meier’s return to form is taking shape. The Appenzeller gave the Devils victory in overtime against Columbus in the NHL, scoring his 4th goal in his last 3 matches.
Meier made it 4-3 after 2’12” in overtime on a solo counter-attack, after recovering the puck in the New Jersey defense zone.
Trailing 3 times, the Devils snatched extra time 1’25” from the end of regulation time thanks to a sumptuous solo from their defender Luke Hughes. Columbus made it 3-2 61 seconds earlier, taking advantage of a puck lost by Jonas Siegenthaler at the Devils blue line.

A 30th point for Fiala
Kevin Fiala, Philipp Kurashev and Roman Josi also stood out. Fiala scored his 7th goal of 2023/24 in a 5-1 Los Angeles Kings victory over San Jose. The St. Gallen striker is the first Swiss to reach 30 points this season.
Kurashev scored his 20th point. The Bernese forward was credited with an assist on the first of two goals scored by Connor Bedard in a 2-1 victory for Chicago against Nino Niederreiter’s Jets. Also author of an assist, Josi on the other hand experienced defeat with Nashville, beaten 5-2 by Carolina.
