With the new model, the Saxon luxury watch manufacturer is celebrating a decade full of originality.

The 1960s erupted with creative energy. They experimented with colors, shapes and sounds and created original, immortal classics. We encounter her musical, fashion and architectural legacy every day, all over the world. Miniskirts and flared trousers, beat music and flokati carpets were once more than just casual accessories – they were the hallmarks of a new generation.

Once again, the designers from Glashütte Original were inspired by this decade and created a timepiece that carries the lifestyle of the 1960s into the present. The new Sixties small second celebrates the concept of timeless originality and lets the small second make it big.

The Times Are Changing

The Sixties models have been an integral part of the Glashütte Original Vintage Collection for years. Whether as a three-hand model or with a panorama date, as a chronograph or a colorful limited special edition: these design classics are loved all over the world for their subtle retro character. Now the Saxon manufactory is presenting the elegant timepiece with a small second for the first time. In this variant, the fastest of the three hands has its own platform thanks to a separate display at six o’clock.

This small second is recessed into the galvanic silver dial and decorated with a finely fluted record decoration. The hands are colour-coordinated with the 42 mm rose gold case, as are the indices and numerals, whose typography refers to the 1960s. The watch is held by a matte green alligator leather strap.
