On the night of Saturday August 14 to Sunday August 15, 2021, the lifeless bodies of two women and a man were found in a house in Gouvy, in the province of Luxembourg. Ann Lawrence Durviaux, professor at ULiège, was one of the victims. She was coldly murdered by her companion’s husband, Nathalie Maillet, also deceased.
A year later, Jean-Marc Durviaux, his brother, paid tribute to him on social networks, in particular by sharing a photo. A message that we reproduce here, in extenso: “A year ago. The last time I heard from you was August 13. It was your birthday and you celebrated it with Nathalie, your lover. You were lovely, bubbly, full of energy. You talked regarding tomorrow with such enthusiasm that it was impossible not to rejoice with you. And then the next day came. August 14. It will be a year tomorrow. What happened is inexplicable, indelible and unforgivable. Time explains nothing, erases nothing from nothing and even less forgives. »
