Four new executives were recently hired and report directly to Tania Cosentino, President of Microsoft Brazil

Microsoft Brazil’s leadership team was recently strengthened with the arrival of four new executives to join the team. They are: Maira Roversi, vice president of strategy and operations; Joana Moura, vice president of corporate clients; Mirian Cruz, vice president of Microsoft Consulting; and Regina Magalhães, business director. The company’s leadership currently has 11 women and four men.

The company, recognized for its commitment to diversity and inclusion, has implemented some actions to increase the number of women in leadership positions and technical areas. Among them is the requirement that, in all selection processes conducted by Microsoft in Brazil, at least one female candidate be among the finalists. In addition, the company offers numerous free professional training programs that are available on Conecta+ platform, a portal that brings together all of Microsoft’s training and retraining projects, including initiatives focused on expanding female training in the technology field.

“When I took over as CEO 15 years ago, I committed to supporting the development of women in technical careers and increasing female representation in leadership positions in companies. Despite my intentions, I see that, unfortunately, we have made little progress on this front and are far from achieving gender equality in the corporate world. More precisely, we need 131 years to reach this goal globally, according to the World Economic Forum’s 2023 Global Gender Gap Report. I want to change this scenario and I make a point of encouraging my team to seek out these professionals, and these four new hires show that we are on the right track,” highlights Tania Cosentino, president of Microsoft Brazil.
