w7m announces mixed B team for Rainbow Six competitions

The first organization to promote pay equity between female and male players, w7m takes another step in its mission to develop women in online gaming with the announcement of the mixed Rainbow Six team. The team, made up of three men and two women, arrives competitively to assume the position of Team B of the organization in the sport.

“Last year, we maintained a men’s and a women’s team and, following many conversations with our players, we understood that this model no longer made sense. They proved to be technically far above what was necessary in female-only competitions and, by bringing them to a mixed team, we were able to elevate their game for official Rainbow Six competitions”, explains Felipe Funari, CEO of w7m esports.

With prominent names, the second team or Team B of the sport arrives with two women and three men

In this scenario, w7m brought two of its former players to the mixed team: Luli and Thaii. Thainara Julio is in her third stint with the w7m team following being elected one of the 3 best R6 players in 2022. “She is one of the best and most experienced players on the scene, four times champion of the women’s circuit, we managed to get her back last year and we mightn’t let her go now”, explains Eudinho Filho, operations manager at w7m.

Luli, RainbowSix’s most famous Argentinian, remains at w7m, becoming the organization’s oldest player. “She has already completed the women’s circuit, champion of everything, elected best female player in the sport and, now, she is looking for new challenges, feeling very prepared to show her game at a higher level”, adds Eudinho.

To the male wing

To complete the team, w7m presents Fntzy, Ion and Levy as the team’s male players. Since the beginning of the R6 competition, Ion has played for big clubs and competed in major championships. Despite not having collected many titles, he is a player always remembered with affection by the community who arrives to contribute with experience and seeks to be among the big players on the scene”, says Eudinho.

Levy is the major champion for Team One in Mexico. “Levy was the MVP of this major and we believe he is enough to add firepower to the team.”

Rounding out the team, Fntzy has been a sure bet since he was 16 years old. “With an aggressive style of playing, he won over the community and fans of the sport, a very important link for the team”, adds Eudinho.

Team leader

FREEZAO, Igor Silva, was chosen to lead this important team as coach. “Former player in the first R6 line-up of w7m, FREEZAO returns following spending two years as coach of the main Black Dragons, and managing to get the team to qualify for an international championship once more following 4 years, we are confident that he will do a great job with this team”, he concludes.
