The Weeknd would have reached the level of Michael Jackson era Thriller according to famous producer Timbaland. It obviously did not take more to get the fans of the King of Pop to stand up.
The Weeknd at its highest level?
Number 1 on Apple Music in no less than 136 countries a few hours following its release, The Weeknd’s new album, the effective Dawn FM, allows the Canadian singer to sign a thunderous comeback. Very well received, this opus composed of 16 tracks has also been compared with one of the greatest albums in the history of music, a certain Thriller, published by Michael Jackson in 1982.
Co-produced by Quincy Jones and taking advantage of nuggets such as The Girl Is Mine, Billie Jean, Beat It, Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ and obviously Thriller, this LP, often mentioned as one of the best-selling long formats of all time, was therefore entitled to a comparison with Dawn FM by The Weeknd. The analogy is signed Timbaland: “This album is different, yo. This stuff is Thriller level. […] Believe me, and the way he pulled this stuff out… Yo, congratulations, that’s amazing! “
