A TIM activated new 4g antennas on two of the main access roads to the north coast of São Paulo. This information comes from the operator itself, which claimed to have installed equipment on the roads Oswaldo Cruz (SP-125) and Tamoios (SP-99). In the first mentioned, antennas were activated at the frequency of 700 MHz.

This action made the coverage reach 90% from the track. Regarding the second, there were ten devices activated on the same frequency, which led to coverage close to 95% from the track. Homero Salum is director of Mobile Access & Backhaul Engineering at the company and commented:

Tamoios and Oswaldo Cruz had several locations with low coverage, creating difficulties for users in some situations. Annually, these lanes take hundreds of people to the beaches of the North Coast of São Paulo and TIM is attentive to this demand and the needs of its customers, with the installation of 4G sites

Both roads have stretches in Serra do Mar, with Oswaldo Cruz connecting Taubaté, in the Vale do Paraíba region, to Ubatuba, which is located on the north coast of São Paulo. Tamoios is the runway responsible for connecting São José dos Campos (also located in the Paraíba Valley) to Caraguatatuba.

More regarding TIM: it is worth remembering that the operator started to activate 5G networks in six new neighborhoods located in the city of Belém, in Pará. In addition, the company recently won an award for quality in its customer relationship, ahead of 20 other companies.
