Now established among the main social networks in the world, TikTok continues to invest in its application — not only in new features, but also in new platforms.
An example of this is the redesigned TikTok app being developed for the Vision ProApple’s mixed reality (AR/VR) headset, as originally disclosed by the network’s product lead, Ahmad Zahran.
In the screenshot above, shared on X (formerly Twitter), Zahran explained that they have completely redesigned the TikTok experience on Vision Pro.
While many app developers abandoned Apple Vision Pro, my team redesigned the entire TikTok experience from the ground up in less than three months.
Although the app for the headset has been confirmed, no screenshots of it in action have been released, so the extent of this redesign is unknown. There is also no information whether the app will be available at the launch of Vision Pro, on February 2nd, or only later.
Videos up to 30 minutes
Not long ago, TikTok started testing videos of up to 15 minutes — and, although this limit has not been released, the network has already started testing even longer videos, with up to 30 minutes.
Tests of the possible future novelty were seen by consultant Matt Navarra in the TikTok app for iOS.
Currently, videos on TikTok can be up to 10 minutes long, so the change would put it in even more direct competition with YouTube.
As with any test feature, however, it is not known when or if TikTok plans to widely launch the option to upload 30-minute videos to all users — following all, not even the 15-minute one has been released, as we said.
