The Chinese ByteDance, owner of TikTok, announced today the launch of its new streaming music, called TikTok Music. Initially, the service is only available to subscribers on the Brazil and in Indonesia.
Streaming, of course, was made to compete with the likes of Spotify e Apple Musicand allows users to sync their existing TikTok accounts to listen, download and share music.
On TikTok Music, you can play full versions of viral songs, discover music recommendations, access lyrics, create collaborative playlists with friends, import your music library, and find tracks by searching for lyrics.
The service also includes a Shazam-like feature that identifies the music you’re listening to. Just like the other streamers on the market, TikTok Music allows users to download music for offline listening.
In addition, the newly announced service has social features, allowing you to express yourself through comments and connect with other music lovers.
We’re excited to launch TikTok Music in Brazil and Indonesia, a new kind of music service that combines the discoverability of TikTok with a state-of-the-art streaming music service. People will be able to enjoy their favorite viral songs on a dedicated streaming service with seamless integration with TikTok.
