Following our tips for TikTok — social network dedicated to the consumption of short vertical videos —, today we’ll show you how you can limit certain subjects to appear for you in the “For you” or “Following” sections.
That way, you avoid coming across something you don’t like — like an artist, a politician or a brand — as long as the word is in the description or in stickers in publications.
See below how to activate it!
Open TikTok on iPhone/iPad and tap your profile picture (bottom right corner). Then, go to the button represented by three little lines (in the upper right corner) and select “Settings and privacy”.
Now tap on “Content Preferences” and “Filter Video Keywords”. Under “Add keyword”, you can start entering your keyword. Once this is done, it is also possible to choose whether you want to filter the videos from the “For you” and/or “Following” tabs. Finally, tap “Save”.
Repeat the process to add other keywords, but be aware of the limit of up to 100 of them.
Later, to delete a keyword, go back to the same section, tap on the icon represented by a trash can and select “Delete”.
Simple, no?! ????
