Tigres advance over Pachuca with goal from Marcelo Flores | TUDN Leagues Cup

Marcelo Flores, in a well-planned play at 65 minutes, was in charge of scoring the only and sufficient goal of the victory and got his team its third victory in the same number of matches.

The other two were against Puebla and Inter Miami, both by 2-1.

The game between the Mexican clubs was played in slow motion at times with little action in either goal.

Felinos and Tuzos passed the ball around in the first half with little danger to the opposing goals.

And it was the Bella Airosa team that had the chances in those 45 minutes, although they were limited and predictable.

At 11 minutes, Deossa shot. At 18′, Rondón had his chance and at 45+2, Bryan González also had his, but on all three occasions Nahuel Guzmán was alert to save.

The first half was a game with no strength and few goal opportunities. But at half-time, Paunovic, the coach of the felines, revolutionized his team with the changes

With the entry of Marcelo Flores himself, Nicolás Ibáñez and Luis Quiñones. And with a play between Ibáñez and Flores, at 65 minutes, the match was won.

Pachuca never found Nahuel’s goal and left the tournament without a win.

Tuzos lost 2-1 to Toronto and tied with New York Red Bull, earned their second point on penalties against the team from the Big Apple and that placed them in the next phase from which they were already eliminated.
