Tidal seems not to have warned Brazilian users regarding the increase in the value of its family plan. The information came from a reader of Oficina da Net, who, following reading the article “Which music streaming service has the best family plan”, got in touch and stated that there was a charge on his credit card with the new value of the subscription without notice. See below for details on what happened following that.

After reading the text regarding which music streaming service has the best family plan, Hugo contacted us to report that he subscribed to Tidal’s family plan and that there was an increase in the monthly fee. However, the big problem was that the new amount was charged without prior notice by the company. So, the writer of this article decided to contact the CEO of TidalJesse Dorogusker, via “X” (formerly Twitter).

To our surprise, the publication was answered by the “Tidal Support” profile, where it was asked to send a DM (Direct Message or Direct Message) to help with the reported problem. So I contacted Hugo and asked him to do what was being asked. Fortunately, Tidal’s response to the resolution of this inconvenience was positive as you can see below through the screenshot of the email sent by the company.

Note that the increase to the value of R$ 34.90 was supposed to take place in August, but since nothing was announced regarding the subscriber, it was said that the monthly fee of R$ 25.35 will be maintained for now and will be only charged the following month at the updated price. That is, despite the error, Tidal decided to honor what was previously disclosed so as not to cause further inconvenience to the customer.
