Thursday, 1st day of the month of Ramadan in Morocco

The holy month of Ramadan for the year 1444 of the Hegira will begin Thursday in Morocco, announces the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs.

In a press release, the ministry indicates that it observed the lunar crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan this Wednesday, Chaâbane 29, 1444 of the Hegira, corresponding to March 22, 2023 following the Al-Maghrib prayer, specifying that the observation of the lunar crescent announcing the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan has been confirmed.

As a result, the 1st Ramadan will correspond to Thursday March 23, 2023, according to the same source.

May God, in this blessed month, shower His favors with HM King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, may God assist Him, and renew such an opportunity for HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and all the members of the ‘Illustrious Royal Family in benefits and well-being, and for the Moroccan people and the entire Islamic Umma in progress and prosperity, concludes the ministry.
