It’s almost a week since the “Tribune de Genève” launched its 28th Thune du Cœur. And your generosity is already astonishing! Last weekend alone, more than 1,000 francs were sent via our QR code.
Several of you have reported difficulties using this little black and white square. Here’s how to use it: scan it with your phone’s “camera” app. You will then be sent to a secure payment page which allows you to make a donation by Twint but also by credit card.
No smartphone? Our traditional payment methods remain relevant. You can make a bank transfer or bring your cash donations to Jules, our piggy bank, who is waiting for you at the newspaper reception.
As for our auctions, the figures are also increasing. The Genève-Servette Hockey Club jersey is on sale on the ricardo.ch website until Sunday, 11:59 p.m. And, for the moment, the highest offer stands at 1,055 francs. More than three times the starting price! The opportunity to thank, once once more, the GSHC and its goalkeeper Robert Mayer who took part in the game to come and present the lot in front of our cameras, alongside Jules, delighted to meet a real star of the canton.
Speaking of Jules, did you know he loves to travel? And it will be served in the coming weeks! His first stopover will take him to the Course de l’Escalade, on December 2 and 3, on the “Tribune de Genève” stand. If you pass through the Parc des Bastions, don’t hesitate to come and enjoy a bowl of vegetable soup (it’s free!) and slip a small coin into the belly of our friendly pig. Then Jules will travel to the four corners of the canton by taxi. All this thanks to the generosity of the Taxiphone company which will broadcast free advertisements for Thune du Cœur on the interior screens of its vehicles.
