In the French football league, AS Monaco with coach Adi Hütter secured the runner-up position on Sunday thanks to a 2-0 away win at Montpellier with one game to go and thus secured a place in the Champions League next season.
Kassoum Ouattara (52nd) and Youssouf Fofana (65th) scored the goals. Hütter became the Monegasque team’s new coach in the summer and led the club back into the premier class for the first time since 2018.

“This is a huge success for the whole club and of course for me personally. Reaching second place in this strong and competitive league is anything but easy, but over the whole year we deserve it.
