Milwaukee Bucks GUARD Patrick Beverley was given a 4-game suspension without pay by the NBA for throwing the ball several times into the crowd. This was announced by the NBA, Friday (10/5) WIB.

Beverley’s action occurred following the Bucks lost 120-98 to the Indiana Pacers, last Friday (3/5), in Indianapolis, which ensured the Pacers won 4-2 over the Bucks in the first round of the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs.

Beverley’s suspension will begin at the start of the 2024-25 season.

Beverley was also penalized for what the NBA called inappropriate interactions with reporters following the Bucks guard refused to answer reporters’ questions following the game.

In the fourth quarter, Beverley threw the ball twice at Pacers fans behind the Bucks bench.

Beverley admitted the Bucks had asked for help several times to deal with hecklers and the taunts hurled at Bucks players were worse than reported.

Beverley joined the Bucks following being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers last February and averaged 6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game for the Bucks.

Over 12 seasons in the NBA, Beverley averaged 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists with the Houston Rockes, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Bucks . (nba.com/Z-1)
