MAGAZINE. Sébastien Deak has been passionate regarding bird watching since the age of 8. A few years later, the acquisition of a camera led him to spend hours waiting for the ideal shot of birds in their natural habitat.
He calls the birds “his flying companions”. During the last year, the Drummondvillois estimates to have been able to immortalize a variety of regarding fifty male, female, and juvenile birds.
Deak says he is surprised by the number of species in the territory he covers, from Saint-Joachim-de-Courval to L’Avenir. He shares his passion with citizens by making them aware of the protection of birds.
Despite an impressive collection, the 29-year-old hopes to point his lens to his very special bird: the Baltimore oriole.
