Sri Lanka fought to the end in the face of a huge score put up by South Africa. South Africa scored 428 runs in 50 overs with the highest score in the World Cup. Gerald Coetzee took three wickets and Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansson took two wickets each for South Africa. South Africa’s Markram holds the record for fastest century in ODI World Cup. Markram scored his century off just 49 balls in the match.
