With “Thriller” Michael Jackson made history and became the “King of Pop”. Now the most successful album of all time is re-released – with songs that have never been released before.

Berlin.Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, released in 1982, is still the world’s best-selling album. A 40th anniversary edition will include previously unreleased songs by the superstar, Sony Music announced on Tuesday. “Thriller 40” is scheduled for release on November 18th.

“Thriller” made Michael Jackson famous worldwide

According to Sony, “Thriller” has been on the US Billboard chart for over 500 weeks and has sold over 100 million units since it was first released on November 30, 1982.

The biggest hits on the album included “Beat It”, “Billie Jean” and “Thriller”. The “King of Pop” (1958-2009) thus became one of the most famous singers in the world. His eccentric lifestyle and allegations of abuse later scratched his image.
