Three years ago, they both decided to quit their jobs and start their own business. The pandemic didn’t stop them

Fernando Goi y Veronica Banega they are a couple. They both had a permanent job and, 3 years ago, together they made the decision to resign to start on their own with a very prestigious national franchise, Mix Pinturerias. When they started the business, the Covid pandemic started, but that didn’t stop them.

Today, in addition to the sale of products, they are distinguished by accompanying their customers. Coordinating the ideal schedule, they go personally to the works, houses, departments to advise when it comes to painting, what is best, trying to adapt to the client’s pocket and needs. Likewise, they are ready to accompany the painters if they have concerns, including those who are just starting out in the field.

“It’s not selling paint. It’s advice, accompaniment. Arriving at the premises and feeling comfortable. We always say, our business is not selling painting, it’s that you feel comfortable in the place you are going to renovate. It is not the idea sell a liter of paint. It is that when you renew, you feel happy and satisfied in the place where you are”Ferdinand said.

Although he had already been an employee in the field for 20 years and had done training, Verónica stated in ReconquistaHOY that it is really a challenge. “You have to have desire and there are a series of conditions that have to be put forward. In this country where we are, it is not an easy task, but we have the conviction to go out every day and face it, with attitude, with desire two”he added about it.

To this is added that it is an area in which you have to be updated, they pointed out, since every 6 months new things and colors come out. Tersuave even provides them with training and makes a technician available to them every 20 days.

“We were very lucky in the sense that they always opened doors for us when we were nobody. They always helped us”Fernando highlighted. In parallel, his partner mentioned that the ties and acquaintances he had at the time were also important. It was the connections that made them reach those people linked to the company, which was the initial kick for them.

The first meeting with the manager, they said, was on a Saturday at siesta. Just when Fernando was doing a painting test, they called him telling him that the manager was in town and wanted to see him. And, just as he was, he showed up. “I spoke to him frankly. I told him I am like that. I like it and I do it with love”Ferdinand commented. Then, it was Vero’s turn to meet her and, after two days, they were informed that they had the go-ahead.

In addition, Fernando said that he was recently recognized by the manager, who explained that he saw his strength and will in that meeting.

Currently, Verónica is in charge of the administrative part, in addition to accompanying the team in what they call the “on-site advice”, where he listens and advises clients when choosing colors and textures to paint. In that sense, Fernando highlighted her for her good taste and combination.

Bearing in mind that it is a long-term decision, “It is not a minor factor to arrive at the best decision when one is going to choose a color”Veronica said. For this reason, they said that Tersuave -the franchise brand- has two state-of-the-art tinting systems, where more than 6,000 colors can be made in the primer.
