Three Venezuelans were on board the Voepass airline flight in Brazil, where the 62 people on the plane died after it crashed in São Paulothe company reported this Saturday.

“We would like to clarify that, among the 58 passengers, four had dual citizenship, of which three were Venezuelan and one Portuguese,” the airline said in its statement.
The Venezuelan victims were identified as Josgleidys González, her mother María Parra, and her son Joslan Pérez, who was only 4 years old.
The three Venezuelans set off for São Paulo with the intention of boarding a flight back to Venezuela after several months of residence in Brazil. The family was accompanied by their dog, neighbors of the victims’ family told EFE.
The family had settled in Brazil because the child, Joslan Pérez was born with health problems and was treated in a hospital in São Paulo, the neighbors added.
Recovery of bodies continues
The crashed aircraft, a French-made twin-engine ATR-72-500, was flying from Cascavel to São Paulo with 58 passengers and 4 crew on board. The accident occurred about 80 kilometres from its destination.
As of Saturday afternoon, rescue teams had recovered the bodies of 42 of the 62 victims from the wreckage of the plane. Among the bodies identified were the pilot and co-pilot, thanks to fingerprint tests.
