He underlined that the three cases were submitted to medical analyzes pending the results, noting also that the health managers have undergone training on the monkeypox disease which has never been detected in the Kingdom.

According to the same source, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has established an emergency interaction system in the face of the international monkeypox alert. This system defines cases of the disease as suspected, probable or confirmed, as well as provides the procedure for the health protection and treatment of contact cases, he explained.

The establishment of this system comes, said the official, as part of the proactive strategy adopted by the ministry to deal with emergencies and alerts related to public health.
