three suspected cases detected in Morocco

The Moroccan Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported on Monday three suspected cases of monkeypox in Morocco.

According to the coordinator of the National Center for Public Health Emergency Operations, Mouad Mrabet, these patients, who have been placed under medical supervision, are in good health.

They all underwent medical tests while awaiting the results, continued Mr. Mrabet.

Morocco has already put in place a strategy aimed at combating the spread of monkeypox, identified so far in eight EU countries.

Monkeypox first manifests as a high fever and quickly progresses to a rash, with the formation of scabs, especially on the face.
