Vienna – Three residents were injured in a fire in a retirement home in Vienna-Favoriten on Monday night. The women, aged 62, 82 and 91, were taken to the hospital with mild smoke poisoning, reported the fire brigade and professional rescue service. Numerous senior citizens were also brought to safety. The professional rescue and social medical service (SMD) cared for a total of 27 people, some of whom had to be transferred to other houses.
