The British magazine Times Higher Education (THE) prepared the 2022 ranking of the 100 best higher education institutions in Latin America and included three Peruvian universities on the list. In addition, two others appear for the first time in the list.

It’s regarding the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University (UPCH)which is now the best ranked Peruvian university, following climbing 16 places to position 35, surpassing the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) which remains in 36th place.
On the other hand, the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM) It rose 15 positions compared to last year and is in position 66, being the third and last Peruvian university in the Top 100 ranking.
Sideways, the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM), which was ranked 76th in 2021, is now between positions 101 and 125. Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) rose between positions 126 and 150, compared to the previous year where it ranked above 150th place.

There are also 19 universities that make their debut for the first time in the ranking, this being the case of the San Pablo Catholic University and César Vallejo University (UCV)which rank above 150th out of 197 rated universities.

Next in the list is the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), the University of San Martín de Porres and the Scientific University of the Southwho are also above position 150.
