Thiruvananthapuram: Three people who were bathing in the sea at different places in Thiruvananthapuram have gone missing and one has died. Two people were missing in Putthantop and one in Anchuteng Mampally. Shreyas (16) and Sajid (19) are missing from Putanthop. Sajan Antony (34), a native of Mampally, has gone missing from Anchuteng. It is reported that four people who came to celebrate Christmas and took a bath at the beach were involved in the accident. The sea was rough on Sunday compared to previous days. Local residents say that there was also an undercurrent.
The dead body of Franco, who was involved in an accident in Tumba, was found. They searched for Sajid, Shreyas and Antony till evening but might not find them. Then today’s search ended. The Coast Guard and fishermen will resume the search on Monday morning.
During the rescue operation, one person got lost, but the fishermen rescued him and brought him to the shore.
