Who will succeed Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux? Three of the four contenders for the presidency of the Medef obtained the 150 sponsorships required to apply for the succession of Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, candidate Dominique Carlac’h told AFP, confirming information from BFM Business.
“We will be three in the final”, assured the vice-president of the organization, which claims 345 sponsorships, around fifty less than the current N.2 of the Medef Patrick Martin and regarding 200 more than the delegate president of the French Security Federation Pierre Brajeux, according to the information it has.
The next important step in the selection process is scheduled for next Tuesday. The Medef Statutory and Ethics Committee will rule on the validity of applications. The final vote, which will designate the boss of Medef for the next five years, is scheduled for July 6.
Opposing Medef visions
At the start, there were four declared candidates: the number two of the first employers’ organization Patrick Martin, the vice-president and spokesperson for the Medef Dominique Carlac’h, the Ile-de-France entrepreneur Guillaume Cairou (finally out of the race with 80 sponsorships) and the delegate president of the French Federation of Security Pierre Brajeux.
