Three municipalities of Lara will be affected by the reduction in water service

The Lara state hydrological company announced, through a statement, the reduction of the water service in the Jiménez, Iribarren and Moran municipalities, due to the decrease in flow that has occurred in recent days in the Alto Tocuyo System.

The information that was released this Friday, December 23, explained that, “The decrease in drinking water is due to failures in one of the equipment at the Los Cerritos station, which is why the usual programming will be affected and the community is called upon to make its forecasts in this regard for the coming days.”

He stressed that the cities where there will be little water pressure will be “El Tocuyo and Barquisimeto, in the case of the Jiménez Municipality and the rural line will be without service from 12 am to 10 am.”

The institution explained that, in order to give immediate answers to the Larense community, there is a schedule so that the distribution of water is carried out in an equitable manner for all sectors.

Finally, it was found that “Water levels are expected to improve in the upper Tocuyo system in the coming days to return to normal distribution.”
