Three members of the government were heard by the Economy and Finance Commission of the lower house of the Congolese parliament on Monday 18 July. The said hearing concerned the financing loan agreements between the country and the donors.

The Economy and Finance Commission of the National Assembly had a working session, this beginning of the week, with the Ministers of the Digital Economy, Leon Juste Ibombo; of Social Affairs, Irene Cecile Mboukou kimbatsa and Roger Rigobert Andely in charge of Finance. Led by Maurice Mavoungou, president of the Economy and Finance Commission of the National Assembly, this meeting made it possible to hear the members of the government on several agreements made between Congo and donors. The discussions focused on the digital acceleration project financed by the World Bank to the tune of 100 million US dollars aimed at reducing the digital divide and the digitalization of the national economy. Another aspect discussed during this meeting concerns the agreement of additional funding of the Lisungi Covid-19 Emergency Response Project. This is an investment of 50 million US dollars from the International Development Association (IDA), an institution of the World Bank, in favor of our country to expand the access of vulnerable households to safety nets. security adapted to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. For his part, the Minister in charge of Finance defended two cooperation agreements, that linking Congo and Rwanda and the agreement between Brazzaville and Ankara. Roger Rigobert Andely, returned to the level of indebtedness of the Republic of Congo and negotiations with various traders.
