Saturday, May 27 at the Cahors Dojo was held a day of grades from 1st to 4th Dan organized by the Departmental Committee of the French Karate Federation. On this occasion, three members of the Gourdonnais kick-boxing club distinguished themselves by obtaining two 3e Dan and a 2e And.
Three graduates!
Kick-boxing, full-contact, and full-contact karate are disciplines emanating from traditional karate which were brought to us from the United States by the famous Dominique Valera (9e Dan FFK). A practitioner can present grade exams ranging from white belt to black belt 1is Dan and more.
The three recent graduates: Alexis Jouve who obtained a 2e Dan as well as Janis Niro and Thomas Rogeret who got a 3e Dan were trained from a very young age by the club coach; Thierry Alibert (7e Dan FFK). At the age of 20, 27 and 41 respectively, their journey and their progress are a great sporting message for the young people of our region. The Gourdon Impact club awaits you at the start of the next school year, Monday evening from 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. for children, teenagers and adult lessons. The club will be present at the sports forum at the beginning of September to introduce you to kick-boxing and you can even put on the gloves for a short test of a few minutes with Thierry the club coach, Alexis, Janis or Thomas!
