News regarding the search for a successor to Alvin Gentry, who took over from Luke Walton, dismissed following a few weeks of the regular season. According to Shams, the franchise has made good progress in its process since it has begun to inform the candidates if they are finalists or not. The next step would obviously be in-person interviews.
Among these finalists there would be the former Warrior Mark Jackson, Mike Brown et Steve Clifford.
A week ago we learned the names of a few candidates, including Jackson. There would also be Mike D’Antoni, Mike Brown (Warriors assistant), Steve Clifford (Nets consultant), Bucks assistants Darvin Ham et Charles Leeet Will Hardy (assist for the Celtics)
Mark Jackson has emerged as a finalist for the Sacramento Kings head coaching job, sources tell me and @sam_amick. Kings GM Monte McNair has begun to notify candidates whether they will move onto in-person meetings.
