The man from Upper Styria wanted to turn left on the B131 at around 12:30 p.m. in Walding and was still waiting for oncoming traffic. During the turning process A following truck overtook him, which resulted in a collision. Both vehicles were thrown over an embankment into the adjacent corn field, causing the truck to roll over.
The 29-year-old and his heavily pregnant 28-year-old girlfriend were injured and taken to the Kepler University Hospital in Linz by the rescue team. The two-year-old son who was also traveling was not injured. The 54-year-old truck driver was brought to the UKH Linz with injuries.
