Three imprisoned after knife murder – Read the full article

This is stated by the North Jutland Police in a press release. The next of kin have been informed.

During Sunday, a total of four people were arrested in the case. Three of them were brought before a constitutional hearing on Sunday evening, where they were charged with manslaughter under Section 237 of the Criminal Code.

It concerns a 32-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man.

At the constitutional hearing, prosecutor Malene Lund Andersen from North Jutland Police stated that the three are accused of jointly killing the 29-year-old man with several blows to the body and head as well as stab wounds to the chest and the man’s body.

The three accused pleaded not guilty and also refused, through their defenders, to make a statement during the rest of the constitutional hearing, which was conducted behind closed doors.

At 10 pm the constitutional hearing was finished, and Malene Lund Andersen informs Nordjyske that all three were remanded in custody for four weeks.

– It was based on reasonable suspicion of serious violence resulting in death, she says.

One of the three made reservations in relation to possibly appealing the decision – the other two did not.

Alarm shortly before 5

An alarm was raised on Sunday at 4.52am, and several officers moved to Vestergade in Fjerritslev, Jammerbugt Municipality.

The 29-year-old had been hit by several stab wounds, and he died shortly afterwards.

Two men were shortly afterwards arrested by the police and taken away wearing DNA suits, which the police put on people to secure any traces and DNA material. One person has been charged in the case, while the other’s role must be clarified, the press release reads.

The stabbing may have taken place in the open street, and both an ambulance and two emergency vehicles quickly arrived at the scene, according to a witness. According to Nordjyske’s man at the scene, Vestergade was blocked off for a stretch of approximately 300 meters on Sunday morning, and at around eight o’clock the blockade was extended to also include the car park and the church center at Fjerritslev Kirke. A house was also examined in more detail.

There were several officers, forensics technicians, dog patrols and the incident manager at the scene, and a major investigative work was taking place with the search for clues and the collection of possible technical evidence. Among other things, a baseball bat was placed in a bag and taken for further investigation.

Niels Kronborg cannot elaborate on a motive for the murder, and due to the closed doors during the constitutional hearing, there are no details about what preceded the murder.

– It is all something that our massive investigation into the specific circumstances over the next few days will clarify, the deputy police inspector stated.

However, he emphasized that, in the police’s opinion, this is a showdown in a “closed” environment, which has no relation to the pending gang conflict in Aalborg.

– But I can’t get any more specific for the sake of our work in elucidating what happened before, during and after, said Niels Kronborg.

Shortly before 12 Sunday, police technicians arrived from Copenhagen. The police are still keen to hear from people who may have seen something or have information in the murder case. This also applies to persons who may have video surveillance that may be of interest to the police investigation. The police can be contacted by calling 114.

Late Sunday afternoon, the cordons on Vestergade and at the church were lifted. The police were present in the city all day on Sunday – also to create security for the citizens and to receive any inquiries from the citizens.

Deputy Police Inspector Niels Kronborg informs Nordjyske on Sunday evening that the police still have a fourth man in their custody.

However, he was not produced in the constitutional hearing.

– Our suspicions against the three are so strong that we choose to produce them in a constitutional hearing. The fourth was present around the crime scene, so we are investigating his movements to see if he had a role in it, explains Niels Kronborg.
