Three federal negotiations to end the Faizabad sit-in were fruitless: Officials

Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) on the demand for boycott of Israeli products at Faizabad junction of Islamabad and Rawalpindi sit in The fourth day continues on Tuesday, while three rounds of negotiations with the TLP committee of the federal government team have been fruitless.

There have been three rounds of negotiations between the federal representative team and the five-member negotiation committee of TLP, while the political leadership of the Punjab government also met yesterday, but so far all negotiations have been fruitless.

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad Rana Waqqas told Independent Urdu that ‘so far there have been three rounds of negotiations. A team consisting of the district administration, IG Police and a representative of the Foreign Office on behalf of the Federation has held talks with Saad Rizvi and has also given him a written declaration, which is currently being reviewed.

He further said that the demands of TLP are already being made by the government of Pakistan, the government of Pakistan is also sending aid to Palestine. Israel is also condemned in strong terms at the international level, apart from that there is no diplomatic relations with Israel.

On Saturday, TLP’s Al-Aqsa March, which started from Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi, reached near Faizabad and announced a sit-in, following which TLP chief Saad Rizvi put forward three demands for Palestine and said that when They will not end the sit-in until the demands are not accepted.

The TLP workers have cordoned off the Faizabad interchange due to which the traffic from Murree to Rawalpindi and Peshawar to Lahore is completely blocked.

Faizabad serves as the junction between the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and is a very busy place.

The traffic police had announced alternative routes due to the sit-in, but this did not help.

Citizens are facing difficulties in traveling due to narrow roads. It takes hours to cover short distances. Not only this, citizens are finding it difficult to reach the government offices due to blocked roads.
