The Quang Tri Provincial People’s Court (People’s Court) has just opened a hearing on the criminal case against the following defendants: Nguyen Dinh Sau (born in 1981, living in District 6, District 5, Dong Ha City); Hoang Thi Kim Cuc (born in 1985, temporarily living in Division 3, Aitu Town, Chaofeng County) is guilty of “Illegal buying and selling of drugs” and Pan Wenfang (born in 1987, living in Renbi Village, Chaoshang Commune, Chaofeng County) were guilty of “illegal possession of drugs.”
According to the indictment, on November 1, 2023, at 8:30 p.m., a city police task force. While patrolling at Kiet 28, Ton That Thuyet Street, Dong Ha found many suspicious signs on Cuc and Phuong, so an administrative inspection was conducted.
Through inspection, authorities discovered that Cook had concealed two plastic packages containing numerous pink and blue cylindrical pills. Cuc confessed that he purchased drugs from Nguyen Dinh Sau for 5 million VND with the intention of using and reselling them for profit.

Initially, Cuc purchased the drugs from Sau and hid them in Phan Van Phuong’s chicken coop area for Phuong’s use. Later, because many people contacted him asking to buy drugs, Cuc sold them to these people at a price of 30,000 VND per pill. Phuong was unaware that Cuc was selling drugs to others.
During the trial, the defendant truthfully confessed and admitted all the facts of his crime.
After deliberation, the jury sentenced Nguyen Dinh Siu to 16 years in prison for “illegal drug trafficking” in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Code; Phan Wenfang was sentenced to 10 years in prison for “illegal drug possession”; Hoang Thi Kim Cuc was sentenced to “illegal drug trafficking”. Sentenced to 15 years and 6 months in prison.
Because previously, on September 21, 2021, Huang Thi Kim Cu was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Langlang District People’s Court for the crime of “illegal drug trading”; and was sentenced to 4 years in prison for “the crime of concealing illegal drugs”, but now he continues to commit crimes , with a total sentence of 23 years and 6 months in prison.
