Two people were stabbed to death and another was seriously injured Monday night in a residential area of Ottawa. A fourth individual was killed following an altercation with the police.

According to initial information, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) was called to a residence on Anoka Street between Bank Street and Heron Road at approximately 10:30 p.m. in relation to a stabbing.

Two people were found dead on the spot while a third person, “stabbed several times and seriously injured, is still in hospital,” the SPO said in a statement on Tuesday morning.

Another person lost his life following an interaction with police at the scene. The SIU is investigating the death.
