Three dead people left the heavy downpour this Saturday in the city, as confirmed by the mayor of Medellín himself, Daniel Quintero.

In a trill, on his Twitter account, the president indicated: “I regret to report that we have found a completely submerged vehicle in the depressed area of ​​Conquistadores. Inside is at least the body of three lifeless people. I am on the scene personally directing the rescue efforts.”

Winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour and the heavy downpours this Saturday generated several emergencies in the capital of Antioquia.

The district Mayor’s Office reported tree collapses, flooding on public roads, in addition to the incident in Parques del Río with one of the lighting structures, among other situations.

The Dagrd reported that in the Ocho de Marzo sector a machine with four crew members attended to the collapse of trees, but did not report any injuries.

In addition, according to the entity, there was a mass movement in Nuevos Conquistadores and a flood was recorded in the depressed area of ​​Bulerías. In this last site, no affected people or vehicles are reported.

Information from citizens reported that the La Iguaná ravine flooded and evacuation sirens were heard.

“The first depression that is going down from San Juan to the right to take Parques del Río was totally flooded,” reported a reader.

El Siata, for its part, reported a red risk in the La Picacha and Altavista streams and in the Medellín river. Also orange risk in the depressed area of ​​Los Músicos – Sewerage Lidar.

The Dagrd with the Medellín Fire Department spent several hours at night monitoring the different parts of the city and attending to the affectations in the different reported sectors.
