Three days later, on October 26, this same victim was surprised to discover that his stolen tools were for sale on Facebook Marketplace. The trap can therefore be set in place. “The victim agreed to a meeting in a parking lot with the seller. The police were notified and intervened at the meeting place for the sale. The two defendants were in the car, ”says substitute Pied.
Several construction objects discovered
Liviu and Claudiu are arrested. The vehicle is searched and the stolen tools are found there. A home visit to the home of the defendants is then carried out. “On the spot, the police found around fifty construction objects, some of which had the name of the company on them. Some of these objects had just been stolen a few days before. »
Prosecuted for receiving these stolen objects, Liviu and Claudiu do not deny having bought them at a flea market. Liviu also recognizes the unauthorized possession of a firearm, also purchased at a flea market for 15 euros. For the prosecution, Liviu must be more heavily sanctioned than his sidekick. And for good reason, since he already has two records of concealment to his credit. A 12-month prison sentence is required, with a fine for the firearm.
For Claudiu, a 100-hour work sentence is deemed appropriate. The lawyer of the duo pleads a measure of favor. Judgment May 9.
