62% of the competitions handled by the current composition of the Judicial Council are to appoint judges. Civil, family, Guarantees, Chamber, Challenge… Some have already been closed, others are still in full competition, but it has already transcended who will be the winners in most cases.
The ones that are closest to the definition are the contests to fill positions of Guarantee judge in Neuquén capital, Rincón de los Sauces, Chos Malal and Cutral Co.
The participants completed the first two stages: background and technique. They only need the personal interview with the members of the Judicial Council, scheduled for the remainder of the month.
in search of agreement
It means that the definitive order of merit will be known no later than the first week of September. Then the Council will send the respective specifications to the Legislature, and the road would be paved so that they agree without major setbacks. Except in one case, which still raises doubts.
The contest to fill a vacancy for a judge of Guarantees in Neuquén capital Natalia Pelosso will win it, current public defender. She leads it comfortably: she’s so far collected 9.96 points for background; 17 in the written exam and 14 in the oral, with a total of 40.96.
The post of criminal judge of Chos Malal is reserved for Eduardo Daniel Egea, who also leads the respective contest after completing two stages: 5.25 for background; 13 in the written exam, 14 in the oral, total 32.25 points.
Egea will not suffer in the Legislature the rebuff suffered by Nadia Kubatov, winner of of the contests (one for a judge from Chos Malal) and twice rejected without the ruling party telling him why. It is a privilege enjoyed by the deputies: not to account for that act of government before the citizenry.
Finally another public defender, Lysander Federico Fidel Borgonovo, will prevail in the contest for judge of Guarantees of Cutral Co. For now, he has collected 36.74 points, product of 6.74 due to background; 15 in writing and 15 in oral.
The unknown court
The unknown is Rincón de los Sauces. The contest that Pelosso will win plans that whoever ranks second will go to the oil city as a judge. But the point guard, Juan Manuel Kees, already rejected that possibility.
Third is Beatriz del Valle Chavero, current criminal defense attorney in the city, who would not have consensus of the Council for the position, and fourth is Egea, bound for Chos Malal. So the chances grow that the contest is declared unsuccessful.
