On September 12 in Tijuana, Baja California, three banners allegedly signed by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) were hung, in which they threatened to kill Peso Pluma, prohibiting him from singing in the border city.

Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija had scheduled a concert in Tijuana on October 14, but until today it is unknown if the event will take place due to the threats against the singer, just as it is uncertain what will happen to the shows that Peso Pluma had announced.

For the moment, the La Doble P team would have taken some measures to take care of the singer, such as postponing some of the shows he had scheduled in the United States.

The first of them was the one that would take place on September 14 at the Fiserv Forum, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The venue announced it with the following statement:

The Rosemont Theater, where the September 15 show would take place, mentioned that this suspension was due to an unexpected situation.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Peso Pluma concert scheduled for September 15, 2023, has been postponed and rescheduled for October 29. All previously purchased tickets will be accepted for the new date. “More information will be mailed directly to ticket holders,” the statement read.

In Tijuana, at least three narcomantas were found directed at Peso Feather for the concert he will give on October 14, all of them demanding that he refrain from appearing at that place because it was “disrespectful.”

“This is for you, Featherweight. Refrain from showing up on October 14 because it will be your last presentation because you are disrespectful and loose-tongued, you show up and we are going to break your mother.”

Like two other blankets, this one was allegedly signed by the CJNG and was found on the bridge known as El Mirador and in the Libertad neighborhood.

After this, the Rosa Pastel interpreter appeared at the 2023 MTV Music Video Awards and will not perform another show until October.

So far, an alleged suspect has been arrested, according to Attorney General Edgar Mendoza. The arrest was made in the Libertad neighborhood, where several elements were carrying out surveillance tours. The alleged suspect tried to leave the area where the police were, but was intercepted.

When he was captured, he argued that he had only taken his dog for a walk, but this version was not credible to the police since it was around 3:00 a.m. and it was very close to the place where the blankets were placed.

Before the MTV VMAS 2023 began, on the red carpet of the awards, Hassan Emilio was questioned by the press regarding the supposed message of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, but he preferred to avoid the topic by responding:

“I say that we are here for a better reason, because it is music, which is what has brought us here.”

So far, the La Doble P team has not made any comments about the threats that the singer has received.
