After a brief period in development, the Threads social network arrived on the App Store and Play Store on Monday night. According to the Goal, the new app will be released this thursday (6).

Developed with the mission of being a competitor to Twitter, the new social network is an Instagram service and should have the same functioning as the blue bird platform.

This is a texting app where communities come together to talk about everything from the topics that matter to you today to what’s hot tomorrow.

In order to facilitate the entry of new users, Meta must allow login to the new social network using the same Instagram credentials, including keeping the same username.

Another key integration with Instagram even involves migrating followers to Threads. As for the design of the new application, it is notable that it copies aspects of Twitter.

Threads has a like, share and comment button, and users will be able to add photos and videos of up to five minutes in their publications.

In the field of privacy, Threads will allow the user to choose who can respond to their posts: general public, followers or mentioned people.

However, what really caught the attention of many users is the amount of data that Threads can collect, ranging from health information to even browsing history.
