Threads custom feeds” style=”margin: auto;margin-bottom: 5px;max-width: 100%” />
About CEO 1 da Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, announced today in a post on Threads that the social network is testing a way to create personalized feeds with content from specific profiles or topics.
Other platforms, such as Bluesky and the X Prohave similar features — and in Threads the mechanics are very similar. To create a custom feed, simply search and tap a topic. From there, select the three-dot icon next to your search term and choose “create new feed.”
You can also add profiles to a custom feed by selecting the three-dot icon above someone’s profile photo and tapping “add to feed.” Threads will let you choose which feed you want to add the profile to.
Once created, custom feeds will appear in the same main menu bar as the “For You” and “Following” tabs. However, there is still no way to set any feed (native or custom) as your default viewing option.
Even after X returns in Brazil, Bluesky and Threads continue to grow
According to a Threads spokesperson, testing is ongoing with a small number of people globally and should be rolled out to more users “soon.”

How does Threads ensure user feedback is considered for future updates to the custom feeds feature?
### Interview with Mark Zuckerberg on the New Custom Feeds Feature in Threads
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Mark. You recently announced that Threads is testing a custom feeds feature. Can you tell us more about what this entails?
**Mark Zuckerberg:** Absolutely, and thanks for having me. The custom feeds feature allows users to create their own personalized content streams based on specific profiles or topics that matter to them. The idea is to enhance user experience by giving them more control over the content they see on Threads.
**Interviewer:** Other platforms like Bluesky and X Pro have similar features. How does Threads differentiate itself in this aspect?
**Mark Zuckerberg:** While there are certainly similarities across platforms, we’ve focused on creating an intuitive user interface that makes it very easy to customize feeds. Users can simply search for a topic and create a feed with just a few taps. We believe this streamlines the experience and encourages greater engagement.
**Interviewer:** Once a custom feed is created, how can users manage it?
**Mark Zuckerberg:** Users can add profiles directly to their custom feeds by tapping a three-dot icon on any profile. This flexibility ensures that users can curate their content precisely to their interests. All feeds will be accessible within the main menu along with the default “For You” and “Following” tabs.
**Interviewer:** Is there a possibility for users to set a specific feed as their default view in the future?
**Mark Zuckerberg:** Currently, users can’t set a custom feed as the default viewing option. However, we’re continuously gathering feedback, and user convenience is one of our top priorities. We’ll evaluate this feature as we move forward.
**Interviewer:** Thanks for sharing this insight, Mark. It seems like Threads is really aiming for a more personalized experience.
**Mark Zuckerberg:** Exactly! Our goal is to empower users to engage with their communities and find the content that resonates most with them. We’re very excited about these developments and can’t wait to see how our users leverage the new feature.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Mark. We look forward to seeing how this feature evolves!
**Mark Zuckerberg:** Thank you!
